(11/14/2023, Manchester, NH) – Sheehan Phinney attorney Abbygale S. Martinen has been named to the New Hampshire Legal Assistance (NHLA) Board of Directors.
NHLA provides free civil legal aid to people in New Hampshire primarily in the areas of housing (eviction, foreclosure, and property tax deeding); domestic violence and family law (protective orders, divorce, and parenting rights and responsibilities); and public benefits (disability, unemployment, and more).
Martinen’s practice encompasses a variety of civil and commercial litigation matters. She represents individuals and businesses in a wide range of disputes before state and federal trial and appeals courts, administrative tribunals, arbitrators, and in mediation.
Martinen served as a 2020 Crisis Response Fellow with NH Legal Assistance, where she helped NHLA respond to increased legal needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, received her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, and her B.A. and B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire.
