The Boston Club is a community of executives and professionals invested in elevating women to leadership positions across all walks of business. Named after their founding member, The Deane Laycock Award is their highest honor. Recipients must have provided exceptional and outstanding long-term service, including a history of leadership; committee or task force participation; fund-raising; and sponsorship of new members.
Whitley is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. She focuses her practice on management-side employment litigation and counseling, including discrimination, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant proceedings. She works closely with HR professionals and in-house counsel to develop a practical business approach to thorny employment law issues. Whitley received her J.D. from Boston College Law School and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Wellesley College. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers ® and Best Lawyers in America ® for her work in Labor and Employment Law, as well as a member of the 2015 class of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Top Women of Law.
